Thank you for your interest in serving as a Lawyer Referral Service panel member. The Lawyer Referral Service provides client referrals to attorneys serving in more than 20 practice areas. When applying to become a Lawyer Referral Service panelist, you may select an unlimited number of practice categories (and subcategories) from this list. For your convenience, an online application form is provided below.
Before you begin, please be sure to read the Standards and Rules for participating in the Service. You will also be required to upload a copy of your professional liability insurance.
Modest Means Program. Attorneys participating in the Modest Means Program agree to serve Nevada’s working poor by charging no more than $25 for the initial consultation and no more than $75 per hour. Areas of law are limited to family law, bankruptcy, tenant law, and consumer law. To indicate your willingness to participate in the Modest Means Program, select the applicable box in your online application (below).
Experience Panels. The Lawyer Referral Service has identified four subject matter – or experience panels – on which attorneys can serve if they meet certain requirements. They include:
- Bankruptcy (Debtor Consumer; Debtor Business; Debtor Litigation; Creditor Representation)
- Criminal (Category A and B Felonies)
- Family Law (Contested Custody/Divorce, Child Protective Services, Termination of Parental Rights, etc.)
- Wrongful Death, Medical Malpractice, Products Liability (All)
You may apply to serve on an experience panel when completing the online application. Please review this information before applying. Each panel has specific requirements and information you will need to provide during the application process.
