  • 9:00 a.m. Welcoming remarks.
  • 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. CLE: Substance Abuse and Mental Health Issues and How to Best Address Being a Solo or Small Practice Practitioner, presented by Kristine Kuzemka.
  • 10:15 – 10:30 a.m. Break.
  • 10:30 – 10:45 a.m. Business meeting, introduction of executive committee, review of financials, and review of amended bylaws.
  • 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. CLE: Common Discipline Issues and How to Avoid Facing Disciplinary Complaints, presented by Assistant Bar Counsel Bruce Hahn.
  • 11:45 a.m. Adjourn.

Conference Venue

Guest room reservations will be made individually by each guest. The conference will be held at the Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe. The reduced rate is good April 26-30 at $139 per night. The resort fee is reduced to $45 and valet daily parking has been reduced to $21. Please note that the deadline for hotel reservations is March 27, 2024.

Solo and Small Firm Resource Center
The ABA GPSolo Division has launched a resource center for solo and small firm lawyers.

Purpose:

The purpose of this Section shall be the promotion of the objectives of the State Bar of Nevada and the general public by:

A. Developing programs and materials to encourage the effective and efficient management of solo and small firms, including educational and related activities in connection with the Continuing Legal Education Department of the State Bar of Nevada.

B. Assisting solo and small firms in utilizing the best techniques, methods, and procedures, thereby encouraging the delivery of competent and cost-effective legal services to their clients.

C. Providing a forum for members of the State Bar of Nevada to exchange ideas regarding solo and small practice economics, management subjects, including time, billing and accounting programs, computerized legal research, operating system and application software, expert systems, marketing, human resources, and quality management programs.

D. Undertaking such other services of benefit to the members of the legal profession and the public which are consistent with the bylaws of the Section or the State Bar of Nevada.
