Each year, the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) conducts the Power of Associations Awards, demonstrating the positive economic and societal impacts delivered by professional groups. The State Bar of Nevada won the 2023 Silver Award for the innovative and successful Section Pro Bono Challenge.
The 3,115 hours contributed through the Section Pro Bono Challenge will serve more than 2,000 clients. The lawyers who participated took 111 cases and participated in 556 Ask-A-Lawyer or Lawyer-in-the-Library sessions. More than $6,330 was raised, and 100 percent of those funds will be distributed directly to legal aid providers based on the IOLTA formula. See the challenge winners and final statistics.
