On July 27, 2022, the Las Vegas Justice Court issued revised Administrative Order (AO) 22-07, which assigns certain vehicular crime cases to a single department.
According to the order, its intent “is to limit the assignment of cases to this docket to those involving driving or operating a vessel under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance and vehicular crimes resulting in death or substantial bodily harm.”
In addition, the order states “if a defendant is charged with both a charge which implicates assignment to a department assigned a domestic violence docket and a DUI or vehicular crime resulting in death, as delineated in this Order, the case shall be assigned to the DV Department.”
