On Wednesday, December 22, 2021, the Eighth Judicial District Court issued Administrative Order 21-08, immediately suspending Rule 4.03 of the EDCR until a new probate commissioner is selected. All pending or newly filed probate and trust proceedings shall be referred to the probate department to be heard by a senior judge who shall hear the matter sitting for the assigned district court judge. Any ruling by the senior judge shall be entered as an order of the court and not a report and recommendation. For more information see Administrative Order 21-08.
