On December 30, 2021, as a means to address the significant backlog and delay in the disposition of civil jury trials, the Eighth Judicial District Court has issued Administrative Order 21-06 implementing the use of a civil case reassignment calendar.
As outlined in the order, any case ready to go to trial but unable to be tried by the trial judge to whom the case is presently assigned will be reassigned to an available trial judge to ensure the prompt and timely disposition of civil cases.
