The exam will take place in both Las Vegas and Reno on Saturday May 3, 2025.

You will be required to complete the application by answering a series of questions on the online form and submitting the necessary documents through the upload feature. Depending on your responses to certain questions, you may be prompted to provide additional documentation. Upon completion of the application, you will need to enter your credit card information to process the $500 application fee.

We recommend setting aside approximately one hour to complete the application. It is advisable to review the entire application first, then gather the required information and documents before beginning the submission process. All information and documents must be entered and uploaded through the online platform.

At least three (3) of the five (5) attorneys must attest to the applicant's expertise and recommend certification of the applicant as a specialist before the application is approved. Do not submit reference forms to more than two (2) attorneys in the same firm. If you have represented either the Internal Revenue Service or the Nevada Department of Taxation for the past five (5) years, you are deemed to have complied with the requirements of section 4.0.
