The Nevada Supreme Court has issued the following orders regarding public hearings to consider proposals related to family law:

  • ADKT 0598: At 2 p.m. on June 21, 2022, the court will discuss proposed Rules of Conduct for Lawyers Representing Children in Welfare Cases. The proposed Rules of Conduct can be found attached to the order as Exhibit A. Written comments and requests to participate are due by 5 p.m. on June 14, 2022.
  • ADKT 0597: At 3 p.m. on August 2, 2022, the court will discuss proposed rules for a pilot program related to the unbundling of legal services in enumerated family court case types. The proposed amendments can be found in Exhibit A attached to the order. Also attached are a proposed notice of limited-scope representation (Exhibit B) and a proposed notice of completion of services in limited scope representation (Exhibit C). Written comments and requests to participate are due by 5 p.m. on July 22, 2022.

The hearings will take place in the Nevada Supreme Court courtroom in Carson City, and will be videoconferenced  to the courtroom in Las Vegas. Persons interested in participating in the hearing or submitting written comments must contact the clerk. Written comments are invited and must be submitted to Elizabeth A.
