On August 16, 2021, the Nevada Supreme Court received a petition in ADKT 0584 requesting the court amend Supreme Court Rule 12, regarding senior justices of the peace and municipal court judges. The proposed amendments are available in Exhibit A of the order.
The court has issued an order scheduling a public hearing and requesting comments regarding ADKT 0584. The public hearing will take place in the Supreme Court courtroom in Carson City, and will be videoconferenced to the courtroom in Las Vegas, on Sept. 23, at 3 p.m.
Persons interested in participating in the hearing or submitting written comments must contact the clerk no later than 5 p.m. on Sept. 16. Written comments are invited and must be submitted to Elizabeth A. Brown, Clerk of the Supreme Court, 201 S. Carson St., Carson City, NV 89701.
