Featuring: Moderated discussion with Kelly Marschall. Discussion will be led by Kelly Marschall, Principal of Social Entrepreneurs, and will focus on the sequential intercept model which details how individuals with mental and substance use disorders come into contact with and move through the criminal justice system. The panel will include national and local judges, detention center leaders, and mental health experts to discuss best practices, existing programs, innovations, and opportunities for collaboration among various community stakeholders, including law enforcement, social services, the provision of legal services, alternative court proceedings, and post-conviction alternatives.
