On May 14, the First Judicial District Court and the Carson City Justice/Municipal Court filed an administrative order modifying their previous pandemic-related orders.

The order states that the courts will resume normal hours of operation effective June 1. In addition, the courts will no longer accept emailed PDF documents; the temporary drop boxes for documents will also be removed.

Courtrooms will continue to be opened for hearings; however, court conference phone and videocalls can be permitted with pre-authorization from the assigned judge. Courtrooms will maintain a social distance of three feet between members of the public, and masks will be required in the Carson City Courthouse. Temperature screenings will occur at the juvenile court facilities; members of the public will not be permitted to enter if they have a fever.
