The Second Judicial District Court has issued two new orders regarding the resumption of court services following closures related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Administrative Order 2021-05(B) notes the changes to court procedure as it continues reopening, effective July 6, 2021. The order notes that while in-person court proceedings are occurring, appearance by remote means is still preferred.
Amended Administrative Order 2021-11 provides the hearing schedule for criminal dockets, including both remote and in-person proceedings. The schedule provided in the order is effective the week of July 19, 2021. Criminal dockets are heard at 9 a.m.
