Public Hearing Set for Nov. 5 to Discuss Proposed Amendment to Foreclosure Mediation Rule 13
On Sept. 25, 2020, the Nevada Supreme Court received a petition from Associate Chief Justice Mark Gibbons seeking to amend Foreclosure Mediation Rule 13, which relates to mediation involving owner-occupied residences. The proposed amendments can be found in Exhibit A of ADKT 0435.
The court has issued an order scheduling a public hearing and requesting comments regarding ADKT 0435. The public hearing will be virtual and can be viewed at www.nvcourts.gov/supreme on Nov. 5, at 2 p.m.
Persons interested in participating in the hearing must notify the clerk no later than 5 p.m. on Oct. 29. Participation will be possible via www.bluejeans.com – login information is available in the ADKTs.
Written comments are invited and must also be submitted by 5 p.m. on Oct. 29 to Elizabeth A. Brown, Clerk of the Supreme Court, 201 S. Carson St., Carson City, NV 89701.
