On June 10, 2021, the Nevada Supreme Court issued an order in ADKT 0554 rescinding several administrative orders related to COVID-19 safety protocols and replacing them with new requirements for accessing appellate court facilities in person, including the use of Nevada’s updated OSHA guidance. The new protocols became effective June 1, 2021.

Oral arguments in individual cases are now being held in-person at the appellate courthouses. The public is also now permitted to attend oral arguments in-person. Attorneys may, with appropriate judicial permission, remove their masks when presenting arguments to the courts.

Members of the public entering the Carson City and Las Vegas appellate courthouses must observe social distancing of three feet, must observe hygiene protocols, and must wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth in common areas of the courthouses. Visitors who have been diagnosed with or been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the previous 10 days shall not enter the courthouses.
