The State Bar of Nevada is honored to announce that John Fortin is the recipient of this year’s Young Lawyer of the Year award.
Fortin is being recognized for his work serving the state bar’s Young Lawyers Section as its liaison to the Access to Justice Commission, where he has worked to develop processes and procedures to assist legal aid providers as they provide critical pro bono support to the underserved Nevadans.
In addition, Fortin also serves in the bar’s Appellate Litigation Section, where he’s working to develop standards, qualifications, and testing requirements for attorneys to become appellate practice specialists in Nevada.
The state bar’s Membership Awards honorees will be recognized at the upcoming annual Bar Conference, which will take place June 12-13, 2025, in Washington, D.C. We invite all licensees to make plans to join us there as we recognize Fortin and our other deserving recipients. These awards recognize individuals and organizations for their service to the bar and their contributions to the legal profession.
