Las Vegas Justice Court Issues Order re: Bail Clerical Errors; Bail Refunds for Some Cases
On Monday, June 1, the Las Vegas Township Justice Court issued Administrative Order 20-12.
According to the order, due to a clerical error, various defendants posted bail, or had bail posted on their behalf, in lieu of being released on recognizance. The court mandated that these bail amounts must be refunded.
For all cases listed in “Attachment A,” of the order, the posted bail amounts will be refunded as soon as possible, and the related cases will be updated accordingly to reflect that each affected defendant is released on his or her own recognizance.
