On August 2, 2024, the Eighth Judicial District Court issued Administrative Order 24-04, which establishes the role of Lead Juvenile Delinquency Judge and reassigns juvenile delinquency cases between court departments.
According to the order, Judge Linda Marquis became the lead juvenile delinquency judge effective August 5, 2024. She will supervise all juvenile delinquency matters, emancipation matters, protective orders in which the adverse is a minor, and applications for work permits. She will also work with the Chief Judge and Presiding Family Judge in the administration of juvenile delinquency caseloads.
Effective August 5, 2024, the current delinquency caseload assigned to Department M shall be reassigned to Department J of the Eighth Judicial District Court. Department B will retain its current delinquency caseload. The current domestic caseload assigned to Department J shall be reassigned to Department M.
