Trauma and Resilience in Law: Strategies for Mental Well-Being and Professional Excellence is an interactive training designed to equip legal professionals with the knowledge and tools to navigate the challenges of a demanding profession. Participants will explore the impact of trauma within the legal field, learn to recognize signs of stress and burnout, and develop practical strategies to build resilience and foster mental well-being.

FACULTY:
Emily Lewis, LCPC, is the founder of Veridian Wellness, where she supports clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and complex family dynamics. A midlife woman herself, she brings empathy and insight to those navigating major life transitions. Her therapeutic approach is person-centered and narrative-based, and she is trained in EMDR and DBT. In addition to her private practice, Emily offers coaching to animal rights activists worldwide and serves on the City of Henderson Redevelopment Advisory Commission. Outside of work, she enjoys animal advocacy, yoga, travel, vegan food, and time with her two kids, two rescue dogs, and two granddaughters.
Veronica Mullins, CPC-Intern
Veronica is a UNLV Honors College graduate specializing in Psychology and Neuroscience, currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has experience in pediatric and adolescent mental health, including work with children with autism, selective mutism, and complex emotional issues. Veronica has also supported LGBTQIA+ and marginalized communities through research and advocacy. Her therapeutic approach incorporates play-based interventions, ACT, and DBT.
