This one-hour CLE program will address the increasingly relevant issue of stress and its impact on wellbeing, particularly within the legal profession. It offers practical strategies for developing healthier habits while also challenges problematic behaviors (e.g., gambling/sex, substance use, social media) often used by those in the legal profession for coping with stress. The session aims to equip legal professionals with tools to balance their professional and personal lives, fostering overall greater well-being.
FACULTY:
Dr. Shane W. Kraus is a licensed clinical psychologist and expert in trauma, substance use disorders, and behavioral disorders (gambling, sex). He is an associate professor of psychology at University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Kraus has published over 200 scholarly works on trauma, behavioral addictions, substance use, sexual behavior and psychopathology. Dr. Kraus received his PhD in clinical psychology from Bowling Green State University in 2013. In 2015, he completed his addiction fellowship at Yale School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry.
