Reno Justice and Municipal Court Procedure Changes Due to Coronavirus
On Tuesday, March 17, the Reno Justice Court issued Administrative order 3-18-2020, altering procedures for the court in response to the public health crisis related to COVID-19. The court will continue to accept all filings and will continue to operate, with the following alterations:
- Transportation of all in-custody defendants will be suspended for 30 days;
- In-custody arraignments, mandatory status conferences, pre-trial conferences and trials will be accommodated by phone or videoconference only;
- Non-custodial arraignments will be continued for 60 days;
- And more.

The Reno Municipal Court is limiting its operations to mission-essential functions. The court remains open, but all out-of-custody hearings and trials have been postponed for 30 days.
