Public Hearing Set for Sept. 24 to Discuss Virtual Disciplinary Hearing Proposal

On August 20, the Nevada Supreme Court received a petition from the State Bar of Nevada’s Board of Governors requesting that the court order all disciplinary proceedings to be conducted by simultaneous audio/visual transmissions until public health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic subside. A proposed order for consideration is attached to the petition and can be found in ADKT 0565.

The court has issued an order scheduling a public hearing and requesting comments regarding ADKT 0565. The public hearing will be virtual and can be viewed at www.nvcourts.gov/supreme on Sept. 24, at 2 p.m.

Persons interested in participating in the hearing must notify the clerk no later than 5 p.m. on Sept. 17. Participation will be possible via www.bluejeans.com – login information is available in the ADKTs.

Written comments are invited and must also be submitted by 5 p.m. on Sept. 17 to Elizabeth A. Brown, Clerk of the Supreme Court, 201 S. Carson St., Carson City, NV 89701.
