Nevada Supreme Court Issues Order Permitting Vote Canvass to Be Held Remotely on Nov. 24

On Monday, Nov. 23, the Nevada Supreme Court issued an order in AO-0018 stating that, due the current health concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Secretary of State and the Supreme Court have agreed to have the Secretary use the virtual meeting facilities in the courtrooms in Carson City and Las Vegas as her office for purposes of conducting the 2020 vote canvass.

The justices shall appear remotely and from the Las Vegas and Carson City courtrooms, while the Secretary of State and her deputies shall appear in the Carson City courtroom. The vote canvass is currently scheduled for November 24, 2020, at 9 a.m., and may be viewed on the court’s website or the Office of the Secretary State’s website.
