Nevada attorneys subject to MCLE requirements* must take 13 credit hours of continuing legal education annually. This includes:

  • Ten (10) hours of general continuing legal education
  • Two (2) hours of ethics and professional conduct
  • One (1) hour in the area of substance abuse, addictive disorders and/or mental health

Attorneys must affirm completion of annual CLE requirements by December 31. Affirmation must be completed through the Nevada Board of Continuing Legal Education MYCLE member portal.


*ATTENTION:  In December 2019, the Supreme Court issued ADKT 0549 eliminating the age exemption in Supreme Court Rule 214(1)(d). Beginning 2020, active members age 70+ must also complete the annual MCLE requirements. The bar offers live seminars and conferences throughout the year as well as a robust on-demand CLE library including some complimentary titles.


CLE Program Approval & Credits Obtained

Attorneys who seek CLE credit for courses obtained through providers other than the State Bar of Nevada may do so through the Nevada Board of Continuing Legal Education. Members may contact the Nevada Board of Continuing Legal Education about the number of credits earned and/or available as carry forward credits. This information is also available via the MYCLE portal on their website.
