Application for Accredited Provider Status

Continuing legal education providers who routinely provide courses for credit in Nevada are encouraged to apply to become accredited providers. Accredited providers are presumed to meet the academic standards set forward in the CLE Board Regulations and participation in a program presented by an Accredited provider entitles any attorney participating in an Accredited provider program to CLE credit.

This form has seven unique sections, each with its own questions. Prior to completing this application, please review the questions and have all required information on hand. A partially completed application cannot be saved and accessed later.

Accredited Providers should actively determine the educational needs of the attendees of their CLE programs. Needs Assessments enable CLE providers to more objectively plan, organize and present their programs or publish their materials. A needs assessment not only documents the fact that the provider has met its responsibility to offer relevant learning experiences, but also increases the likelihood that potential participants will engage in CLE activities and apply what they learn. A prerequisite for becoming an Accredited Provider is for the sponsor to, develop and implement methods to evaluate its program offerings to determine their effectiveness and the extent to which they meet the needs of lawyers and, upon a request from the Board, provide course evaluation data. Section 7: Acknowledgments
If granted accredited provider status, this organization agrees to:*
- Notify the CLE Board of any new programs at least 30 days prior to the event.
- File a list of attendees, program evaluations and appropriate fees within 30 days of each program.
- Maintain for at least 3 years: (a) program notification form, (b) program attendance lists, and (c) program evaluations.
If granted accredited provider status, this organization understands that the following fees apply:*
- An annual $500 fee, due by January 30.
- A $100 late fee for failure to timely pay the annual fee.
- A $3 per attorney/per credit hour fee for all alternative format programs. There is no per attorney fee for live format programs.
- A $50 late fee for failure to submit program information 30 days prior to the program date and attendance reporting 30 days following attorney completion of program requirements.
