On March 16, 2020, the Las Vegas Justice Court issued Administrative Order 20-03, making alterations to court procedures for the protection of the community from risks related to COVID-19.
The alterations include:
- Conducting in-custody criminal hearings via videoconference;
- Continuing criminal out-of-custody hearings for 60 days;
- Suspending traffic pre-trial matters for 60 days; and more.

Essential cases and hearings will continue to be heard through in-person appearances. Non-essential hearings are ordered to be conducted by videoconference or telephone, decided on the papers, or rescheduled.
Additionally, the court has established dedicated phone lines as follows: Criminal Division at (702) 671-3201, Civil Division at (702) 671-3478, and Traffic Division at (702) 671-3444 for assistance in rescheduling court appearances, arranging for appearance by alternative means, or providing other information based on the circumstances of the appearance.
