Amended Rules for Pahrump Justice Court
On Tuesday, April 14, the Pahrump Justice Court filed a petition with the Nevada Supreme Court amending the justice court’s local rules regarding appearance by communication equipment (Rule 10) and sanctions for noncompliance (Rule 31).
Rule 10 is amended to adopt the Supreme Court Rules regarding electronic coverage of court proceedings, and rules governing appearance by phone for criminal, civil and family court proceedings.
Rule 31 is amended to note that attorneys and parties must adhere to rules requiring attendance at hearings and trials, and that attorneys must diligently communicate with necessary individuals. A list of potential sanctions for noncompliance is included.
