The Standing Committee on Judicial Ethics and Election Practices has vacancies for a two-year term beginning January 2014. The Board of Governors of the State Bar shall appoint attorney members to fill the vacancies at their January 21, 2014 meeting.
The Standing Committee on Judicial Ethics and Election Practices is hereby created to resolve ethical disputes arising in the course of campaigns for judicial office, and to provide judges and aspirants to judicial office advisory opinions regarding ethical matters that may arise in the ordinary course of judicial service, or in the elective or appointment process. Each member is appointed for a two year term with no member appointed to more than four, consecutive terms.
