Opening for Tenth Judicial District Court Judge
The Commission on Judicial Selection is now accepting applications for the position of Judge in the Tenth Judicial District Court due to the death of the Honorable David Huff.
Applications may be obtained
via the Supreme Court website. Applications are due by Friday, May 11, at 5 p.m.
and may only be submitted in hard copy. Deliver or send completed applications to the commission secretary in accordance with the instructions in the application. Use only the application provided for this vacancy.
As you may know, the commission revised its rules to provide for a more open selection process. Rule 3(C) provides that certain information disclosed on the application, which is not considered confidential, can be made available to the public and will be posted on the Supreme Court website. New Rule 4(D) provides that candidates' interviews, discussions of qualifications and balloting for nominations shall be held in a public session. A complete copy of the rules
