Law Day Speakers Needed
The State Bar of Nevada's Law Related Education department is seeking attorneys to speak to students in their classrooms on Law Day, Friday, April 27, 2012
. Thirty-five schools are asking for attorney visits this year. The students range from second graders to seniors in high school. The theme of this year's ABA Law Day is "No Courts, No Justice, No Freedom

Law Day Live, hosted by Nevada Supreme Court Justice Nancy Saitta, will take place on April 26
. The live video conference will involve students in Winnemucca, Reno and North Las Vegas. The students will review the Project Real curriculum dealing with current underfunding of the U.S. court systems
. Classroom discussion points will include: why do the courts matter to me?; what would our community look like if we did not have a judicial system? and; how do taxes support our courts? The video conference will be archived so that all interested teachers and students can view the discussion.
